Join us from June through August as we explore some of the tech world's newest gadgets and topics. We will be covering everything from drone tech to computer programming doing so in-depth and hands-on.

Build Your Own

Laptop w/ Pi-Top

During this featured week we will get to learn how hollywood movies and videos like many found online are produced and developed as well as how we can start our own YouTube channel with video content that others can enjoy! Younger and older students will be combined this week in order to create well balanced teams that can assist everyone in the creation of content and make for great team building experience!

In this DIY build your own Laptop course we will be teaching students all about the hardware side of computers before assembling one ourselves. Then we dive inside the computers to gain a better understanding of how softwares work and help us in our day-to-day lives.

Video Production: How to Start a YouTube Channel

Week 11:

August 17th - August 21st

Tesla Engineers / Drone Pilots Week

This week will be a double feature week where during the first two days we will get to build a miniature race car that has similar technology to top of the industry electric cars like a Tesla. In the second half of the week we will get to spend time learning about and flying drones through a series of skill training trials designed to enhance things like handling, awareness & throttle control.

August 24th - August 28th

Tech Mashup

Find what new tech you are passionate about this week! During our FINAL week of Summer <i-CAMp/> we will be hosting a mashup week where everyday features a different type of tech! We will learn to do some drone flying one day, perhaps followed by Virtual Reality or 3D Printing the next and some coding the next day! It could be anything!

Jun 29th -July 2nd

Sr. 3D Design

Printing & VR

In this course students will learn to create 3D models and worlds and get to interact with top of the line 3D printers. The first half of the week will focus mostly on 3D model designs while the latter half will feature 3D world design where we will get to use some of the models created before.

Week 5:

July 6th - 10th

Programming Voice Apps w/ Google Home

For Middle School students in this course we will get to learn how we can program Voice Recognition Applications like the ones we use when we communicate with Google Home (which we will be developing with), Amazon’s Alexa or Apple’s Siri. These apps like ones that do things for us such as note taking or shopping lists help us save time and energy in a hands-free way.

Sr. Game Designers Week: 101 & 201

This week is a flex week where students who were in our previous Game Design weeks will be given new projects in 201 to push them even further. For students joining the 101 Class they will be seperated and given 101 Level projects.

Week 8:

July 27th - July 31st

Sr. Game Designers Week: 101 & 201 & 301

This week will be another flex week where new students are brought up to speed and given 101 Level Projects. The returning students that have been in the previous classes will continue to develop their own 2D Platformer games and add more complex mechanics, levels, enemies, etc.

Sr. Game Designers Week: 101

Our Python Game Design Course will have us creating 2D Platforming Games similar to the original Mario/DonkeyKong games from the ground up. This course is structured so that you can build off of it week-to-week and keep advancing the complexity of your game.

Web Developer’s Week

In our Web Developer’s 101 Course we will learn about the languages that makes up most of the internet that we see today; HTML & CSS. As we learn the basics of these two languages we will get to create our very own, simple but creative, websites.

Week 2:

Sr. Animation Programmers

This week we will be learning how animation works inside videos and  games as well how to create animations and program them to happen when certain events happen. We will be using Scratch to create, draw, and program these animations.

Week 7:

July 20th - 24th

Jr. Game Design

101 & 201

This week is a flex week where students who were in our previous Game Design weeks will be given new projects in 201 to push them even further. For students joining the 101 Class they will be separated and given 101 Level projects.

Week 8:

July 27th - July 31st

Jr. Game Design

101, 201 & 301

This week will be another flex week where new students are brought up to speed and given 101 Level Scratch Game Design projects and returning previous 101 & 201 students are challenged with new projects and material.

AI Programmers

w/ (Cozmo)

In this programming course our Elementary students will get to learn about how Artificial Intelligence works and how we can use it along with programming to do awesome things. We will learn about how we can not only use AI in things like farming, weather & sports but also use it to have fun!

Week 6:

July 13th - 17th 

Jr. Game Design 101

In this introductory Scratch Game Design Course, elementary students will be learning how to create games within the Scratch Coding environment. Each day in this course students will get to create a new and different game with various different objectives to each of them!

Internet/Web

This year’s Intro to the Internet Class will help teach your elementary students the very basics of how the World Wide Web works and how it has grown since its creation. We will also learn about how everything that helps the internet work is make w/ Code!
