2019 Summer i-CAMp

Join us from June through August as we explore some of the tech world's newest gadgets and topics. We will be covering everything from drone tech to computer programming doing so in-depth and hands-on.

3D Design & Printing

This week is being hosted at our i-CAM center where we currently have 4 different 3D Printers. We will all cover all aspects of 3D modeling and some of the things that it is applied to in the real world as well as the virtual one.

Week 2:

June 17th - 21st

Technology & Film

In this adaption of one of our classic programs, we will cover all of the newest types of drones and the applications of all of them from the versions that race across land, dive into the sea and soar through the sky.

Programming A w/ Artificial Intelligence

Learn how Artificial Intelligences like the Cozmo Bot can help us learn while doing so in a fun and interactive way! Cozmo Bot is an AI with personality and can become a companion beyond just this camp!

Week 10:

August 12th - August 16th

Video Production & Special Effects

In this course we will be learning all about the production and special effects that go into our favorite films and videos. We will even get to create our own videos and learn how to upload and create films like some of the people that we see on YouTube and in Hollywood!

Week 11:

Inside & Outside Your Own Laptop

 This course can be taken as a stand-alone course or as follow-up in which we will be teaching students all about the hardware side of computers. We dive inside the computers to gain a better understanding of how softwares operate on the lowest level and help us in our day-to-day lives.

Augmented Reality Glasses

The World of Extended Reality: VR, AR, MR

Enter the world of Virtual Reality in this course all about XR, Extended Reality, which covers everything from Virtual Reality to Augmented Reality and everything in between. We will learn about how these worlds are created and displayed for us.

Build & Program w/ Your Own Laptop ft. Pi-Top

In this DIY build your own Laptop course we will be teaching students all about the hardware side of computers before assembling one ourselves. We will then dive inside the computers to start programming and gain a better understanding of how softwares work and help us in our day-to-day lives.

Python Programming & Game Design 101

In this course students will learn core concepts of programming by building something most of them already enjoy, video games! Through programming and game design all of the subject matter of programming can be presented in a fun and engaging method!

Week 7:

July 22nd - 26th

Python Programming & Game Design 201

This class is the second part of our programming courses which can also be taken by itself by a beginner. For returning students we will challenge them further to reach greater heights and see bigger pictures through programming while doing so in a fun and creative environment, game design!

HTML & CSS:

Developing the Web

In this course we will be learning about how the World Wide Web is created, displayed and edited through HTML and CSS. We will program in these two languages and learn how each are necessary to creating every website we see on the internet today as well as cover how to interact with HTML on already public websites.

Python Programming Artificial Intelligence A&B w/ Cozmo Bot

With the Cozmo Bot we will be learning all about programming with a friendly voice user interface. Cozmo allows us to see the product of our programming in a real world application outside of the computer screen. Our returning students' programming skills will be challenged to a new level.

August 12th - August 16th
